This set of sunglasses expresses exactly how we are feeling on a day to day basis in this moment. Wanting to stand out from the masses, yet in a very subtle manner. By carefully electing a handful of colors, combining them with a selection of classically tinted lens, as well as applying them to our new classic silhouette, the People. We are making a statement.
As others just enter the colored market with shapes similar to our Basic silhouette, we decide to take it a step further.
Simple yet unique, distinct yet humble, we are proud to present our new set of colorful sunglasses for every occasion.
One of the main themes we decided to introduce and exploit in our new AW2010/2011 collection is the technique of combining materials, from acetate with metal, to acetate and leather and to finish off acetate on acetate! This results in a unique and fine piece of eyewear that distinctly recalls certain timeframes and styles in history.
This technique is something that Super was missing from its past productions, and we believe we had to include it as an enriching urge of spirit. They are elegant, but still young and fresh. You feel the strength and cold of the metal with the flexible life of the acetate or the mellow touch of the leather.
Our new blond havana is definitely one of the simplest yet characteristic components of our new collection, directly placing it amongst our most prevailing pieces. Like black sunglasses, havana is one of the biggest selling colors in the eyewear market, eternal, easy to wear, elegant and classy. We decided to give it a personal touch, just to stand out a little from the crowd, so we made it matte. The fact that its opaque and the choice of using a light colored havana acetate not only makes it a unique piece, but also a whole different product then our signature Havana Glitter.
All our top silhouettes: the Flat Top, Basic Shape, People, Andrea, Ciccio, and our Lucia come in this matte havana version, the everyday color of next season.
After the success of our Flat Top shade entirely wrapped in fine black leather, we decided to re-release it as one of the novelties to our continuous collection. We’ve also decided to complete the Flat Top leather set, with the addition of two new leather-covered flat tops in shades of rich brown leather: deep chocolate and sand.

The first of this exclusive series is the Randagio, this stray dog is quite a unique piece: a puma acetate skeleton hand covered in top notch leather with refined gold details that complete the elegant and strong design.
After the great success we had with our Black Leather Flat Top, we were stimulated to get down and work on the potentials of this exclusive material, creating the Flat Top in two other color declinations (as you may have seen from the recent press around the web) and more models that capture this same mood, yet combine various techniques and distinctive elements from our AW 10/11 collection.
Super’s tradition is to produce the best quality and cool sunglasses at the most reasonable price, and this is the same with our special models.
The shades will cost 223 EUR and will be produced in a limited quantity of 230 pieces.

The collaboration between WeSC and SUPER is the second venture into eyewear for WeSC. What made WeSC interested once again in eyewear was SUPER’s great products, brand philosophy and fresh ideas.
The two brands share many similarities – the ideas behind it and the joy in creating good things for good people. The result of the collaboration is something we are very proud of and look forward to wearing… Really soon.
The shades originated from the union of the two dynamic brands, resulting in a totally new shape designed on purpose for the Swedish brand: it’s retrò & modern, classic & streety at the same time.
All the details are in gold color like the metal decorum on the side that when opened reveals the WeSC logo. The shades comes with black mirrored lenses mounted, but also include a case containing a second set of rock hard pure black lenses. The shades are produced in a limited quantity of 500 pieces.

This month the cover of Nylon featured one of our inspiration icons. M.I.A. shot by our friend Marvin Scott Jarrett appears energetic and in amazing shape after an intense period: she got engaged, had a baby and a lot of gritty work for the release of the new record.

School is almost out and the hot summer is just around the corner. Mounting our signature Carl Zeiss lenses and specifically tailored for children’s necessities, our best selling Flat Top Kids is now available in 3 colors: black, white and red. Now available for purchase on our online store.
After re-living the excesses of the 80’s, we decided to embrace the essentialism and minimalism of objects and their functionality: a return to a classical and more elegant point of view, which had been overshadowed in these past few years, especially from the younger consumers. The SS10 RetroSuperFuture collection was conceived and designed with three basic key points in mind: simplicity, research and understated elegance.
The extra twist and the true summer feeling for the SS10 collection was given with the specific selection of style and material of the acetates, we proudly present our Summer Safari theme.
The Summer Safari acetates and combinations successfully combine a fresh and innovative style without stepping out of line from our three initial focus points (mentioned above), yet maintaining the everyday style and understated elegance we wanted.
Another additional feature on some of the Super’s new silhouettes of this season is weight with the Andrea, the People, the Lucia and the W that are very lightweight yet high-quality sunglass. This collection is characterized by our “super” distinctive mark: which now functions as a decorative cap between the frame and the leg, revealing our logo only when the eyewear is opened, when the piece is closed it creates a simple yet incisive recognition decor.
NEW SILHOUETTES Andrea: surprisingly simple yet stylish piece of unisex eyewear. This specific design came about while researching an avant-garde look that would simultaneously be an instant classic, a piece that was cutting-edge and cool enough for the trend leaders as well as a more mainstream consumers.
We therefore took our established classic flat top shape and eliminated the bottom acetate, revealing a refreshing futuristic lens and look. By combining classical acetates such as our signature Havana and Summer Safari tortoise combos (just to name a few) we gave it a very chic look while stripping the piece to its essentiality and function. Less is more.
Lucia:designed for women, characterized by a petit and extremely thin frame, yet boasts an extremely strong design and Giotto-esque round lens.
This is amongst the most experimental of our season’s designs, nonetheless maintaining a surprising classic simplicity.
Feeding the fashion-hungry women, this sunglass comes in a selected variety of combinations and is of an extraordinary elegance and lightness.
People: Creating a classical unisex piece of eyewear which can be worn satisfying every need and occasion is a sunglass company’s biggest challenge.
The People model is a slightly smaller-framed and thin yet meticulously designed piece which combines smooth curves with sharp and sudden angles and almost circular lenses with long geometrically squared-shaped arms.
The People is able to satisfy a large variety of different styles (thus the name), simultaneously be a chic and tasteful gentlemen piece when in havana glitter; or be a unique retro look when in our jungle Summer Safari version; or a simply and sensually feminine when in our light savannah acetate and lens.
W:Inspired by the unique style of late 70’s italian design, such as our favorite, Marcello Gandini, to name one.
The W represents our retro-futuristic style to perfection, yet also offers a basic simplicity in its design. The W was designed all in one line, maintaining all angles square, to the point that the arms don’t even curve. It is sought of as the new classic shape of the future.

We at Super wanted to celebrate Chocolate’s success and 15 Year Anniversary with a limited edition release of 333 special pairs of sunnies. Our common point of view on quality and the continued research of changes have made us work together with excitement for this fresh and special project.
A shade based on our Classic silhouette, characterized by the double use of two different colored acetates on the exterior and interior. Translucent grey and translucent red for the frame and same but inverted for the arms. The Chocolate written logo on the inside and the square red glass-lined one on the outside. All pieces are numbered 00/333 and come with the white box that has always distinguished SUPER’s special projects.

As someone may already have noticed, Super has done a new exciting project with the legendary Liberty & Co department store established in 1875.
