To celebrate the fourth chapter of the collaboration between RSF and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the collection draws inspiration from a 1950s motif sourced from the Foundation's New York archives: a series of freehand drawings of pupils and eyes Warhol created during his years as a commercial illustrator. Reinterpreting these elegant soft-line drawings in three-dimensional form, the project features two ironic sunglasses that sit at the intersection of art and design. Combining high-tech structural construction, innovative materials and experimental details, the models transform Warhol's eye sketches into collectible eyewear designed for design lovers and art enthusiasts.
