Marni appoints Meryll Rogge
New Creative Director

Marni appoints Meryll Rogge

Marni has named Meryll Rogge as its new creative director, following the departure of Francesco Risso, who had led the brand’s creative direction since 2016. Rogge joins the OTB-owned fashion house after gaining experience at Marc Jacobs and Dries Van Noten, where she also worked on the beauty line. She founded her own label in 2020.

Her appointment comes during a period of major creative changes across luxury fashion and within OTB Group, which also owns brands such as Diesel, Maison Margiela and Jil Sander. Rogge has recently received major industry recognition, including the Grand Prix at the ANDAM Fashion Awards and Designer of the Year at the Belgian Fashion Awards in 2024.

OTB chairman Renzo Rosso praised Rogge for her sensitive and contemporary interpretation of Marni’s identity, highlighting her potential to shape the brand across fashion, accessories, interior design, communication and special projects.

Marni’s flagship stores are conceived as more than retail spaces: they are immersive expressions of the brand’s creative identity. A key example is the Via Montenapoleone flagship in Milan, located in the heart of the city’s fashion district. The store presents womenswear, menswear, kidswear, shoes, bags and accessories, while also acting as a creative space where fashion, design and art meet.

With their bold interiors, unexpected details and experimental atmosphere, Marni stores reflect the brand’s eclectic and unconventional spirit. They are not just places to shop, but physical representations of the Marni universe.
