All Retrosuperfuture® glasses can be shaped to fit your individual needs. The temples of all Retrosuperfuture® frames have a metallic core, that can be easily adjusted to fit your specific need. Metallic frames can be adapted to individual needs by tightening or widening the silicon nose pads. If your glasses tend to slide out of place, the screws on pad arms can be tightened with a small screwdriver. To find the perfect fit, the silicon pads can be pushed further apart or closer by using the thumb and index finger. All of the above adjustments can be made by your nearest optometrist. Please note that Retrosuperfuture® is not liable for any damage caused during this process.

Cellulose acetate is a malleable and moving material that can be modified and shaped through time to fit your size and use. If your glasses tend to slide out of place, hurt your ears or are crooked, they may be adjusted to best fit your needs. We suggest you bring the frames to an optical store that has the tools and experience, if this is not possible you may gently do it at home. Be careful as acetate may break if not heated up enough or if handled with too much energy. Retrosuperfuture is not liable for any damage this may cause. If you decide to do this on your own, you can heat up the acetate and carefully mould the earpiece with your thumb. Otherwise, you may bring your eyeglasses to an optical store, most of them are happy to make these adjustments for free. WHAT DOES RETROSUPERFUTURE’S WARRANTY
COVER?
Retrosuperfuture guarantees to the consumer that the products purchased from the official Retrosuperfuture online and Retrosuperfuture flagship stores comply with the specifications and are free of material defects and workmanship errors for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of delivery. This warranty applies only to products which are manufactured by or for Retrosuperfuture as identified by the "RETROSUPERFUTURE®" trademarks, trade name, or logo legally affixed to them, and purchased by consumers from the official Retrosuperfuture Website and Retrosuperfuture flagship stores. Products purchased from other unauthorised channels and from websites such as eBay, Amazon, etc. are not covered by these Terms & Conditions, and any problems that may arise in those cases need to be discussed and settled directly with the vendors from whom the product was purchased. Signs of wear and tear, such as scratches on lenses, will not be considered as product defects, but as events generated by normal use and therefore not covered by warranty.
This warranty does not apply if/to:
- if the product has been subject to improper use, repair, alteration and/or modification not authorized by the brand
- to damages caused by failure to follow the instructions covered in the documentation for the products or other specific instructions from Retrosuperfuture
- if the product is damaged by misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, normal wear and tear and deterioration, improper environmental conditions or lack of responsible care
- to damages due to any other cause not related to defective design, workmanship and/or materials

If these instructions are not followed, we reserve the right to rely solely on the pictures that you sent us before shipping the products back, and we will not be responsible for any further damage caused to the products in transit.

All eyewear should be frequently cleaned and stored in their case to preserve their original characteristics and functionality. Your eyewear should be cleaned regularly and thoroughly under running water and dried with a soft microfibre cloth, usually provided with the glasses. We do not recommend wiping the lenses with a cloth while dry, since dust can be abrasive. To preserve the lenses and the frame, never place your glasses upside-down, avoid contact of surfaces with the lenses, and keep them in their case in a dry place when not used. Never leave your glasses under direct sunlight in a non-ventilated space since it will likely cause irreparable damage

ON RSF FRAMES?
Most of RETROSUPERFUTURE silhouettes mount lenses made of nylon (polyamide) or CR39 (a plastic polymer). Organic-plastic-lenses are much lighter than glass ones and more resistant to impact, while maintaining a high level of flexibility necessary for easy moulding. All ZEISS lenses used by RETROSUPERFUTURE filter sunlight for wavelengths up to 400nm.
Two of our core products, The Warhol and Unico, have mineral glass lenses. These are made by Barberini in Italy. Tempered through a chemical process at high temperature, all Barberini optical glass lenses are resistant to scratching and abrasions, yet perfectly transparent and shiny. Due to their reduced thickness, Barberini tempered glass lenses are sturdy and comfortable for everyday use.

Signature RETROSUPERFUTURE acetate frames are made entirely of natural materials obtained from plants-namely cotton and wooden pulp- and are produced in large sheets by leading Italian manufacturers. The malleability and flexibility of the acetate allows it to be easily shaped and moulded, while obtaining peculiar aesthetic finishings and unique nuances. Due to its sturdiness, the cellulose acetate is extremely resistant to ageing, if handled correctly.
Most RETROSUPERFUTURE metallic frames are made from an alloy commonly used in eyewear design - German silver-, while other used materials include monel and bronze. All RETROSUPERFUTURE metallic frames are submitted to galvanization -a process that consists in applying zinc film to protect the metals from rusting, therefore coating the metals in golden, silver, ruthenium finishings, or varnished. Certain parts of our eyewear are made of high-quality steel.
