To celebrate the second chapter of the collaboration between RSF and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the collection carries Warhol's legacy into the 21st century through an eclectic eyewear line inspired by his art. Exploring the Foundation's archives, RSF selected a series of whimsical ink drawings Warhol created in 1957 for a newspaper article on women's eyewear, portraying elegant female figures with bold, mysterious 1950s-style sunglasses. Translating these sketches into three-dimensional form, the project experiments with materials, shapes and production techniques to create a collectible yet wearable set of four unconventional models: BabyBaby, Nicolou, VelvetDarling and Ultracandy — capturing Warhol's witty visual flair and his idea of transforming the ordinary into something extraordinary.
